Life in a Day

For an example of crowdsourcing done extremely well, we have National Geographic’s Life in a Day, the culmination of 80,000 submissions and 4,500 hours of footage from 192 countries. All of which was shot on July 24, 2010, and edited into a single breathtaking film by Producer Ridley Scott and Oscar-winning director Kevin Macdonald. Exactly a year later, it’ll be making its debut in cinemas. Now, how’s that for a big idea?
