
Intel: Sponsors of Tomorrow “Rockstar Yourself”
Following six years of promoting their products, Intel was starting to take a more personal and emotional stance towards advertising. To bring their Sponsors of Tomorrow message to greater life, we created a viral campaign.
Looking though its diverse resources, we found potential in one of their very well-received series of ads. With over 1 million YouTube hits, it was exactly what we were looking for. In a campaign tied closely to social media, we used a highly sophisticated face-mapping technology that replaced the original protagonist’s face – turning users into Intel’s “rockstars”.
Over 150,000 visitors joined in the fun while the site was “live” and the average time spent on the site was 7.45 minutes, with each person viewing an average of 3 user-generated TVCs.
